Parent Presentation- IUSD, in collaboration with OCDE, will be providing monthly zoom presentations throughout the spring. They will cover topics and challenges that students and families face in relation to school-based mental health. Join us in the discussion! Care Solace- IUSD has partnered with Care Solace, which provides concierge services to assist families in navigating mental health services and providers in the community. Care Solace has a dedicated multilingual Care Concierge team of experts available 24/7 to help staff and families through the process of connecting to available, verified community-based mental health providers matched to their needs. Irvine Parent Education Programs (IPEP)- FREE seminars and educational workshops offered to Irvine parents throughout the school year. The goal is to empower parents with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their child’s education. IPEP offers a variety of workshops focused on topics important to parents of IUSD students. See Parent Workshops for more information.

Help PTSA send 2 of our high school students and a chaperone to Sacramento to learn about advocating for educational issues. This is an annual PTSA Program when high schoolers from all across Irvine travel with Irvine executive leadership to our state capital for a day. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our students to meet other student leaders within our community and share concerns that are impacting our schools and students. If our goal is reached for this program, funds may be used for additional PTSA Programs.

High School Updates
Sophomore Family Morning- The San Joaquin HS counselors are hosting their Annual Sophomore Family Morning. This is a presentation for all sophomores and their families. We will be delivering information that is needed in preparation for individual sophomore conferences, which will be scheduled throughout February. We will be recording this presentation and posting it on our website, in case you cannot attend. We hope to see you this coming Monday, January 23rd at 8:00 AM via zoom.
PSAT and Pre-ACT Score Back Night- Students who took the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 8/9 or PreACT in October are invited to attend this event on Jan. 24th at 6pm online. Learn about your test results and how they can assist you with college and career readiness. Click HERE for more information and to register.
New Office Hours Schedule- Starting Monday, January 23, there will be a new schedule for Monday Office Hours. We are restructuring Office Hours to occur by period before and after Advisement. Please click HERE for the schedule.
Girls Meet the Workforce- is a FREE 6-month job readiness experiential opportunity for current 9th through 11th grade girls and girl-identifying students. Participating gives you access to EXCLUSIVE Girls Inc. scholarships, an opportunity to complete a PAID internship, and networking events with top female leaders in Orange County! Its purpose is to help you identify your career interests and prepare you for today’s workforce. You will strengthen your soft skills (e.g. interpersonal communication, leadership, and networking) as well as your hard skills (e.g. navigating Microsoft Office and Google applications) throughout our career-readiness programming. IUCPTA Scholarship- The scholarship will go to graduating seniors and will be used towards continued education after graduation. Recipients must attend an accredited college/university, community college, trade or technical school within the first year following high school graduation.Qualifications: This scholarship recognizes students who are PTSA members and whom have performed service activities inside and outside of school.
