RSMS Positive Post-It Campaign
May 4th- 8th, 2015
“Remember you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine.” -Snow White
What is the Positive Post-It Campaign?
It was originally a movement was started by a high school student trying to fight off a bully. Instead of fighting back she wrote a variety of nice messages on post-its and posted one on every locker in her school.
Purpose:
To build a positive environment as a school family by posting positive words, drawings, or quotes around the campus. Another purpose is to recognize the impact we can have on others by doing small acts of kindness.
When can the students participate?
During the week of May 4th through May 8th, write nice words, quotes, or drawings on Post-its and post them around school!
How do I fit that into my day?
Whenever you see fit, but possibly during any down time in class or transitions. J It can be in their homeroom time, when they finish work early, when they are in the Safe Place, when they are waiting in the Cafeteria during breakfast, it could be an activity for the ACE kids, Spartan Power Hour, etc.
Where can students place the notes?
Doors, lockers, mirrors, walls, windows (not blocking some visibility for safety reasons), computers, chairs, tables….the possibilities are endless!
Post them however you like! They can be little notes everywhere, or notes combined together to make a shape!
***It may be helpful to use tape so they don't fall off!!! Just sayin' !!! :)
