December 2022
Dear Families,
Can you believe it is already December? This first semester has gone through so fast with lots of learning and fun at our school! Our students and staff are working so hard to finish strong the next couple of weeks before our well-deserve winter break. I want to take a minute to thank you for all your support, patience and kindness as we continue to get back to normal this school year. It has been great having our parent volunteers back in our school!
There are two important things I would like to share more information about with you:
- Open Enrollment
- Dual Language School Visit Evaluation Report
Please read the next two sections for more information.
Here we GROW & GLOW!

Final School Report
Back in the fall, our district partnered with two consultants from Dual Language Education of New Mexico to review our existing elementary dual language programs and district practices to give us feedback on what we are doing well in our work with elementary dual language and where we can continue to refine our practice. As part of their visit back in September, they heard parents and staff perspectives, and also visited our classrooms. We have received the final report and I would like to share it with you. We will host two cafecitos (one in person and one virtual) for parents to come and talk about this report. Please see the report below and the information about the cafecitos. I look forward connecting with you!
Ms. Anabel

Fall Respiratory Illness Season Reminders
Colorado is seeing an increase in respiratory illnesses in children across the state. As the temperatures drop and we spend more time indoors these viruses spread more easily.
There are actions we can continue to take to keep ourselves and our families healthy from all communicable diseases such as Colds, RSV, Flu and COVID-19. Resfriados, RSV, gripe y COVID-19.
Please stay home if sick
At least 24 hrs after you’ve had a fever, vomiting or diarrhea (resolved without medications)
If you have multiple symptoms such as coughing, congestion, aches, sore throat - stay home until they start to improve
Follow the school guidelines/directrices escolares
for returning - students AND staff
Get tested - testing is available for COVID, Flu and RSV
Practice good hand and respiratory hygiene
Cover your cough
Dispose of tissues immediately
Wash or sanitize your hands
Talk to your healthcare provider about vaccines for Flu and COVID-19
Consider wearing a mask indoors for added protection
