Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
October 7th, 2022
We had a productive week at Lutherville Lab! Though the week started soggy and was a little disjointed with no students Wednesday, we made the most of it. We enjoyed a visit from the Dunkin Community Cruiser on Tuesday, grew together through professional learning on Wednesday, had our first field trip on Thursday and ended the week with a beautiful day on Friday!
We offer our congratulations to Mrs. Dominick in the front office, who will be transitioning to a new position in central office. She will be missed. Her last day at Lutherville Lab is on Monday and we look forward to giving her a joyous sendoff. We will introduce our new Administrative Secretary to the community soon!
If you have the ability to send in some extra boxes of tissue as we get into autumn, that is appreciated! Trust us that they are put to good use. =)
Picture Day is on the horizon at the end of the month. Your child should be bringing home order information soon if they have not already.

NFL Play60!
NFL PLAY60 started this Monday and runs until October 28. This is a four-week program where students track their physical activity. Attached is the Student Game Planner for your child to track their daily activity minutes. Here are a few notes about the program.
- The program will run from October 3 – October 28 (four weeks).
- Students track daily activity minutes and weekly totals and have their form signed by a parent. Students must record activity for all four weeks.
- Completed Activity Logs must be submitted to Mr. Bruns by November 1st.
- Participating students will earn small prizes for participating
- A few BCPS students will be chosen to attend a Ravens game in early January.
October Food Drive!
Did you know that one-third of the people served by emergency food programs are children? We need you to help these hungry children have a good meal, so they can learn. This will help students have an opportunity to learn about hunger and help other children in need.
From Monday October 3rd -October 31st, Lutherville Lab will be collecting non-perishables to support the Baltimore Hunger Project. Please send in: Canned tuna and chicken, granola bars (crunchy or chewy), protein bars, single-serve cereal boxes, fruit snacks(single serving pouches), applesauce pouches (no cups, please), and juice boxes.
Collected items can be brought to tables that will be setup in the hallway near the cafeteria. There are attached documents related to the food drive. Thank you in advance for your support!
