Full Steam Ahead
Week 1 in Review
In my 18 years in education, I have never had such an amazing first week of school. This week I observed great learning, brave conversations, positive visits, happy teachers, joyful students, and the world's best parents/families. Here are some highlights of the week:
- Middle school boys volunteering to clean up lunch (parents - you are doing something right)
- Middle school girls having great conversations (they asked to interview me at lunch - it was the best)
- Kindergarten hugs
- Lower elementary students being kind (if a student is sad, they are befriended in minutes by another)
- Drop-off/pick-up (parents you are the best!)
My challenge for you this week is to share with your experience with your friends and family. I want to fill our program with families just like you! Please follow us on social media and share your stories!
