Woo Hoo--We're in the Lead!

Keep logging those 'miles and minutes' and Aquin will stay ahead of the pack in the 'Total Miles and Minutes'. We're even coming close to the lead in the 'Average Miles and Minutes' category.

See the current totals here.

Register (if you haven't already) here.

Log-in (and catch up on this week's activities) here.

And don't forget about the inspiration to win--replacing Junior High uniforms!
(Pretty sure that is our new Fresh-Soph Boys Basketball coach down there in the front row--1st one on the left in this classic photo from the 1992-1993 season.)

Celly Update

Found out last night that the 'chat' setting in Celly is not working correctly. On the admin side of Celly, all of the messages and responses that members post to the coach are viewable. Members of the cells are not supposed to be able to see the messages from other members. It was brought to my attention last night that 'member responses' are viewable by everyone in the cell.

I emailed support at Celly last night and am waiting for a reply and hopeful resolution of the issue. An update will be sent as soon as I have one. Until then, just know that any responses that members send to coaches will be viewable by all members--and not just the coach.

If you missed all the previous email information about Celly, click here or click here to find all the info. Or--check with your Jr-Sr High student(s). Each one was given a sheet way back on Monday with all the information. (Jr High doesn't have cellies, but the back of the sheet had sports physical information and FHN Miles and Minutes information--so all were given a sheet.)

REMINDER--Sports Physicals--FHN on June 10

All 2015-16 Aquin athletes in Grades 5-12 must have a current physical on file. Students in grade 6 and 9 must have a complete physical, which covers the sports physical requirement. The 'sports physical' does not meet the 'complete physical' requirement.

Athletes and/ or parents should call the location they wish to attend to make their appointment in advance. FHN and Monroe Clinic offer special dates and times throughout the summer for a reduced fee of $20 for each Pre-Participation Exam. All of these dates and times are listed on the web calendar.

  • FHN's Physical Clinic on Wednesday, June 10 has been designated for Aquin and Pearl City. The $20 fee from this Clinic will be donated back to these schools. We encourage families needing a sports physical to attend this clinic if possible.

If your student is going to attend his or her sports physical without a parent or guardian, FHN requires a form (giving parental consent) accompany the student.
Download and print that form by clicking here.

Summer Office Hours

High School Campus and Business Offices will be open from 8am-12:00pm on Monday-Friday throughout the summer.

Rockford Register Star All-Sports Banquet

Congrats to Aiden Chang, who was named a finalist for NUIC Male Athlete of the Year, and Haley Chang, who was named a finalist for NUIC Female Athlete of the Year.

Reservations can be made by calling Bea Ricotta at 815-987-1453 between 9:00-5:00 or emailing There is a hard and fast deadline of 5:00 on June 11 for them to make reservations so the Register Star can have an accurate dinner count.

Good luck Haley and Aiden!

Vendors Needed!

From FDDF . . . Please help spread the word!

Last year, Freeport Downtown Development Foundation started a Farmer's Market in downtown Freeport during 'Music on Chicago'. A place for artists to sell their handmade pieces and folks to sell their homegrown items. They had about 30 vendors. The feedback was wonderful from the public. They received many calls hoping it would be repeated.

We need your help encouraging vendors to sign up. Again, it's for handmade or homegrown items only. The fee is $10. Please refer people to as soon as possible. The first date is June 12th.

This is a WONDERFUL thing for our downtown and FDDF would love to continue to do it (we get 1,000 people downtown for MOC) but cannot without enough vendors."
