July Orientation Leader Updates

July Happenings

We hope that everyone is enjoying their summer. A lot of the staff here at Chaminade are in and out on vacation, so here are just a few updates from the office.

  • Allison is back from the mainland! Feel free to swing on by to welcome her back.

  • Dani has officially finished up her year as our Grad Assistant. She will be missed but never forgotten. She has an amazing internship opportunity, so if you see her around campus, we are sure she would love to tell you all about it!

  • We would like to welcome our new Grad Assistent, Justin Tuiasosopo. If you have the time, you can stop on by and welcome him to our Chaminade Ohana.

  • We have a new Director of Career Services, Ms. Angela Coloretti. So we have another reason for you to stop in the office and welcome her to the 'ohana as well!

  • Julie is still awaiting the arrival of Baby Logan Leonidas Tarter. He will be stealing her away from the office sometime early this month.

  • Lastly, Sam and Caitlin will be working in our offices over the summer to keep us organized while Julie is out of the office.

New Faces at Chaminade!

The preparations for New Student Orientation are still on there way:

  • The booklets have been sent out to the new students. If you would like to view them, you can do so online.

  • We are going to have a phone calling pow-wow on July 3rd (read below for more information).

  • Finally, we will have some new Resident Directors (RD's) in Reslife, feel free to get to know them as well; they can also be great resource during New Student Orientation.

Wednesday, July 3rd 2013 at 9am-12pm

3140 Waialae Avenue

Honolulu, HI

For those of you who volunteered to make some phone calls over the summer (and if you didn’t, it’s never too late!), Get excited! It’s time to start reaching out to the newest members of our Chaminade ‘ohana! We will be having a phone call day in the SSS office on July 3rd, from 9am-12pm. We’re looking forward to see you then!

The campus is still changing, and just when you thought that Chaminade reached the peak of awesomeness, it has defied the laws of the universe and is on its way to becoming an even greater school than it was before.

  • Check out the new water fountains in Henry Hall. You can now fill up your water bottles and it will count how many plastic bottles you have saved by filling up at the water station.

  • The construction on the Courtyard Café is steadily moving along. It has been completely gutted and the new building is on its way.

  • The newly renovated Campus Store is still projected to open up in Tredtin Hall in mid-August. Stock up on some gear before the school year starts. It is currently and temporarily located in the Clarence T.C. Ching Confrence Center, along with the Chaminade Mailroom.
