Yes! We have School Monday!
Orchard View Middle School - April 12
8 Weeks Left of School
Students and Parents,
Orchard View Schools will be in session Monday, April 12.
Schools continue to be one of the safest places in our community as protocols are strictly enforced. We appreciate our community and ask that you continue to support us in educating students and keeping everyone safe.
Prior to sending your students to school, please review the following questions daily and STAY HOME if the answer is “YES”.
1) Has you child experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 24 hours (not caused by another known condition)?
Fever 100.4⁰F / 38°C or higher
Cough
Shortness of Breath or Difficulty Breathing
Chills
Fatigue
Muscle Pain or Body Aches
Headache
New Loss of Taste or Smell
Sore Throat
Congestion or Runny nose
Nausea or Vomiting
Diarrhea
2) Has your child been in close contact with a person who has recently been confirmed to have COVID-19?
*Close contact means being within 6 feet (2 meters) of an infected person for 15 minutes or more.
3) Has your child had a positive COVID-19 test for active virus in the past 10 days?
4) Within the past 14 days, has a public health or medical professional told you that you or your child must self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19?
Please consider these variables daily.
Finally,
Please review MASK RULES with your student at home.
Mask rules will be strictly enforced.
Students are expected to wear masks over their noses at all times with the exception of lunch or a teacher-led mask break.
Students that habitually fail to meet mask expectations will be removed from the learning environment (suspended) until a parent/guardian meets with the principal for a home and school plan.
Thank you for your help and support in keeping students and staff safe. We have so much left to teach and only eight weeks of school!
Sincerely,
Mr. Smith
