POLO SEASON BEGINS MONDAY, MARCH 19TH!
SENIORS: If you do not plan to pass along your sweaters to family or friends, please consider donating your sweaters to the school! Every summer, we open our uniform inventory to all of our families at no charge. We especially like to provide replacement uniforms free of charge to our seniors, when needed. We are accepting clean sweaters in good shape in the front office and Mrs. Littner has a donation box in her room upstairs!
18-19 COURSE CHANGES & AP FEES DUE MARCH 19th!
Just a friendly reminder that course changes for next year should be submitted by March 19th in order to avoid the $30 course change fee.
If you are planning to take an AP course next year - you MUST have that fee paid by March 19th! After this, there will be an additional $30 course-change fee as we will have to make changes to the schedule.
Please see Guidance for more information!
Are you an AMAZON Shopper? Help Raise Funds for Marian Central!
3x your impact! From March 12-31, Amazon is tripling the donation rate on your first smile.amazon.com purchase! Go to smile.amazon.com/ch/36-2426418 and Amazon donates to Marian Central Catholic High School.
Introducing our FIRST BUSINESS LAUNCH from the INCubator Program: DORM DROP!
This business is fully LIVE and ready to serve you now! Please help spread the word about this wonderful service!
SENIORS: Worried About Exam Exemptions?
Please review the Exam Exemption & Appeal Form. At the BOTTOM of the form, there is an APPEAL box that we encourage students to check if you believe one of the criteria should be re-evaluated in your case. What does this mean to you? Well, let's say your Quarter 3 grade for a class dips below that 91%, BUT you absolutely pull your Quarter 4 grade up. Simply check the "Appeal" box - explain your grade for the class, and we will consider the exemption!
When is the Exam Exemption & Appeal Form due?
Students who wish to be considered for exemptions MUST submit the completed form to the school office by 3:00 pm on Friday, May 4th. We will not allow exemptions if we do not have this form completed. We need this form early enough to run a complete audit of all criteria (grades, attendance, discipline.) We will notify you in writing exactly which exams have been approved for exemptions within one week of receipt.
As stated when we launched this program, this is our "beta" year - so we are anticipating a few bumps as we work through the process. We appreciate all the support and patience as we test this out this year. We will also release a brief survey at the end of the school year for feedback so we can make improvements for Year 2!
Conversations that Matter: Social Media (RECAP!)
Please take time to review the attached power point that was used in the presentation. Share it with your children, have an honest conversation about it, and remember...although there are many wonderful benefits to using social media, don't forget that it is permanent, there is a lasting impact, and if used improperly there could be criminal, civil, and other consequences. We need to work together to support our children, ensure their safety, and help guide them to making faith-filled choices.
MCC Parent Association Meeting: March 20th at 7pm in Annex
Attention Freshman & Sophomore Parents - PROM Volunteers Needed

SENIORS: Senior VIDEO Needs YOUR 9th - 12th Grade Memories!
Hello Class of 2018 Families!
It is that time of year where the Senior Class Council begins to create the Senior Video to be shown at the Senior breakfast and each student of the Class of 2018 gets their own copy to commemorate the memories of their time here at Marian. We want to represent each and every student's experience here throughout the video and would like to request a favor of our parents. If you could please send 5-8 pictures of your student's time here at Marian from Freshman Year to Senior Year by Monday, April 30th (allows for any prom pictures to be included ), this would allow the Senior Council to compile the video in time for the Senior Breakfast.
We do ask for pictures including 2 or more students from Marian (no single shots, please), and have the pictures that were taken place at Marian events or with other Marian students from the Class of 2018.
These pictures can be emailed to kgallagher@marian.com or in an envelope dropped off to the Marian off or Room 127 with your student's name on it. If you are scanning and emailing the pictures, please make sure that the files are in JPEG format. With the large number of pictures we are expecting to receive, this would help decrease any extra steps of converting the files to complete this important project. We look forward to being able to represent your student's time here at Marian and as a Hurricane.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Miss Gallagher at kgallagher@marian.com.
Sincerely,
The 2018 Senior Class Council
