READING HOUR
Saturday, August, 25th 6-7 pm
As part of the celebrations classes will be attempting to put aside some time everyday for a daily dose of reading. Ask your parents to join in and read with you! Share a good book, exercise your imagination, tickle your funny bone and get lost in a thrilling adventure. Reading truly is the pathway to many different worlds and anyone who has a love of reading will have a friend for life! “So please, oh PLEASE, we beg, we pray, Go throw your TV set away, And in its place you can install, A lovely bookshelf on the wall.” - Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Tony Wilson, our National Year of Reading Ambassador.
Tony Wilson will be reading his new picture book (see cover below) to the younger classes as part of the celebrations for the Reading Hour. You may see him around the playground during Friday morning recess on the 24 August. If you do, tell him how many minutes a day you have read!
