These sessions are optional but very informational.
AR 360 8:00 Mrs. Pharo's room
Come find out about the latest addition to Accelerated Reader. This new tool is geared towards Science and Social Studies, and all of the articles are nonfiction. The text is interactive and the teacher can give feedback to the students immediately through the program. This program is designed for instructional use in small groups, centers or independent work. Along with each article, students can complete assignments and take quizzes. Come check it out!

Google Drive, Lino, and Kidblog, oh my!: Apps and websites for exciting virtual collaboration amongst students from the classroom all the way to the global community! Bring an iPad or laptop!
Crazy for Compacting! 10:00 Mrs. Minor's room
Join me in collaborating about how/when/why to use compacting with your gifted students. Bring a favorite project that you assign to your students when they compact out, and I will have several to share as well. Get CRAZY about COMPACTING in 2015!

Do you keep forgetting how to print all of the reports that you need for meetings and conferences? Come find out how to locate and print reports. We can also review which reports are the most informative in a conference or meeting to show students growth and performance. We will look at STAR, Successmaker, and Dibels.
