Meet Canon Follow You
New copiers are coming to Cheltenham School District during the week of April 13th. This change should be fairly transparent to our staff and we hope to have minimal downtime during the installation. Prior to the install, you will be supplied with more details and training materials. For now, here are the highlights:
- New Canon copiers will replace all Ricoh copiers.
- Canon copiers will be production level machines.
- Capacity and reliability will increase.
- The district will save $485,000 over 5 years.
- EP, CB, and CHS will get additional copiers.
- All current print functions will exist with Canon.
- New print drivers will be deployed.
Coming Soon - Meet Gmail
This coming May, the District will be converting from using Microsoft Exchange for our email server to Gmail. All Gmail accounts will be fully integrated with your Google Apps accounts. Right now we are busy working on the rollout plan so that the transition is as seamless as possible. We are also creating training materials and video tutorials for those who may not be familiar with Gmail. Stay tuned for more information in a future "Tech-In-Ten". For now here are some answers to a few of the frequently asked questions we have been fielding.
Q. What will my new Cheltenham Gmail address be?
A. Your email address will not change and will still end in "@cheltenham.org".
Q. Will my current email be lost in this transition?
A. No, all of your email will be migrated from the existing Microsoft Exchange server to Gmail.
Q. How much storage will I have in Gmail?
A. As of recently, Google has removed all storage limitations, so you will no longer receive warnings that your mailbox is full.
