A Note from College and Career: Rebecca Proznick
This week, I went into (almost) all the Senior English classes *Thank you English teachers!* to talk with students about how to set-up and get ready for the College Application season. Students and families can find a detailed description of what we went over here online here. It's a lot of information, but once you get into all of the different pages, it'll come together perfectly! :) All classes will be visited by the first week of September.
Please save the dates and tell your students about the following Senior Informational Nights:
Sept 17, 7 pm, Little Theater
Senior Info Night
Get an overview of the College Application Process and Timeline. We\'ll go over the types of colleges out there, application portals, essays and letters of rec.
Sept 30, 6 pm, Library
Admissions Case Study (RACC event)
Have you ever wondered how Admission Officers decide who gets admitted? Take on the role of an Admissions Officer- with help from our Regional Admissions Officers from out-of-state colleges- and see who you\'d pick to admit! (sign up sheet will be posted online in early September on the Senior Action Plan Page & in the Weekly Announcements page)
TBA: Financial Aid Information Night
I anticipate adding at least one more information night; be sure to bookmark our weekly announcements page to keep up-to-date with what's going on and come back to the Senior Action Plan to make sure that you're on top of deadlines.
This class is doing GREAT with everything so far- keep up the good work!
