Book Review -Destiny Thomas
Love, wolves, and a cure. Forever is the last book of The Wolves of Mercy Falls Trilogy. The author really knows how to draw you into her world full of wolves and love. She uses vivid imagery and smells it's as if you're in the book. The book takes place in Mercy Falls, a small quaint town in Minnesota. There's nothing special about it except for the wolves. You'd never believe that the wolves are actual people.
The main characters are Grace, Sam, Cole, and Isabel and only one of the four don't change into wolf. Grace is senior who can't attend school because she's not stable enough to stay human. She's deeply in love with Sam and will do anything to be with him. Sam is 19 and Grace is his only family now. he lost his parents a long time ago and his adoptive father is now a wolf forever. Cole is a rock star turned wolf. He's emotionally unstable and super smart. He's going to find the cure for the wolves even if it kills him. Isabel is the only normal one in the pack. Her brother was attacked by wolves and it devastated her, but that didn't mean she wouldn't help him she tired to cure him, but in the end he died and she blames herself. All the characters are facing some problem within themselves, but they're helping each other through the pain.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat to find out what happens next. A love story that keeps getting better and better no matter what the problem is it just makes their love stronger. I really enjoyed watching Sam and Grace's love grow from start to finish even if they had a few bumps in the road. Maggie Stiefvater can really write a book.
The love Sam and Grace have is unconditional. It's a love that can never be broken and will last forever.
The wolves as people know aren't actually wolves they're just their neighbors that turn every winter and eventually stop turning.
The cure can stop them from turning into wolves every winter and they can finally live a normal life.
