WMS Book Fair - Tuesday, 11/12 - Friday, 11/15

It’s that magical time of year again! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held at the WMS Library from Tuesday, November 12th to Friday, November 15th. A portion of all sales will go to the WMS Library so that we may purchase new books for our school.

WHEN TO SHOP:

  • The fair will be open to all families before school, and during conferences on Thursday, November 14th!
  • Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during their English classes. Consider setting up a student eWallet- deposit a specific amount of money into your student's account, and they are allowed to shop at the fair cash-free!
  • Can’t make it? Consider purchasing books online!
HOW TO HELP:

  • We are looking for parent volunteers to help students shop before school, after school, and during conferences!
  • Consider donating money to our All for Books fund, which raises money to purchase books for WMS students in need. A donation box will be by the cash register.

To browse the selection, purchase online, set up an eWallet or sign up as a volunteer, go to our fair website at:

If your student’s physical has expired or is about to expire during the season, PLEASE ATTACH A COPY OF YOUR CURRENT PHYSICAL when prompted in FamilyID. It will save a lot of time clearing you to participate. Hard copies can be submitted to the school’s Nurse.

Physicals must have a section that says the student is able to participate in activities including school sports.

The School Nurse will be the contact person in having your son or daughter cleared medically with the processing of the annual physical examination or other medical conditions. Please check the renewal date of your physical examination now and make appointments in advance so your son or daughter does not miss any athletic time.

Student/Parent/Teacher Conferences

We schedule two sets of student/parent/teacher conferences, one in the fall and one in the spring. These conferences, led in part by the students themselves, allow for them to reflect on their strengths, progress, and areas that need improvement. Parents, guardians, and teachers discuss the next steps and help plan for future goals. All students are expected to attend their conferences with their parents or guardians.

Each cluster has their parents/guardians sign up for conferences individually - some online and some with sign up sheets they sent home. The links may be found on the WMS home page or below:
