TES Summer Updates

Supply Lists
To help you in preparing for this year, we would like to share a supply list that applies to all students in grades K-8, as well as a grade level specific supply list for your child. Please click below to access both of these lists.
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Devices
Pickup for these devices will occur on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at OLD TURNPIKE SCHOOL in the cafeteria.
PickUp Patrol
PickUp Patrol is a service we have at TES that is mandatory for all families of students who are enrolled in our hybrid learning model this year. Parents must use this App to complete a MANDATORY daily health screener for each of your children before arriving to school EACH day. It will also continue to be used to inform the school of your child's daily attendance plans.
You will be sent an email from PICKUP PATROL today, Monday, August 24th, with a user ID and password. This is a time-expiring login. You need to register and change the password within 48 hours. If you miss the deadline, you will continue to receive email notifications until you have logged in. Once you change the password, for security purposes, do not share this information with anyone but the child's other parent or legal guardian. If for any reason the specified email address is not the one that you wish to use, you must let the office know so that we can change it for you.
PickUp Patrol App
Because parents of students in the hybrid learning model will be required to complete the MANDATORY daily health screener for each of your children before arriving to school each day, we recommend you obtain the App to make this as easy as possible for you.
To obtain the App, follow the instructions in the email you receive in step 2 under "to set up your account."
A/B Cohort Assignments
Recommendations/Expectations for Virtual Learning
In an effort to ensure student success in a hybrid or remote learning environment, we recommend reviewing the following recommendations and expectations with your child:
Maintain a regular sleep schedule.
Follow the schedule for the day. Find time for breaks, snacks, and lunch.
Dress appropriately for school.
Use the restroom and eat before the meeting starts.
Be on time. Attendance will be taken.
Come to the virtual classroom prepared to learn just as they would in the physical classroom.
Have all supplies ready to go.
Have a designated workspace. Ideally, they are seated in a chair at a well lit table or desk. If they need to use their bed, they should be seated upright. It is recommended this space be one that is free from distraction and close to wifi access so that they do not experience trouble connecting.
Log in as themselves.
Mute themselves when the teacher or a classmate is talking, and keep their video on so their learning is visible.
Raise their hand to speak. Wait their turn.
Just as they would in the physical classroom, continue to meet deadlines for assignments.
We are looking forward to a great year together, and we appreciate all you are doing to help set your children up for success!
