A Message from the Principal's Office
Dear Orcas,
A friendly reminder that toys, trinkets, pokemon cards, mini purses, etc. are not allowed at school! These items can become problematic in the classroom and disrupt student learning. If these items are found in the classroom, they will be taken by the teacher and sent to the office. Check your child's backpack frequently to help ensure these items are not being brought to school. We appreciate your partnership with this!
Warm Regards,
Lisa Brozovich, Principal
Alisha Maulding, Assistant Principal

February Character Trait
HONESTY
February's character trait is honesty: Being truthful in what you say and do. We will be learning the importance of not only being honest with others, but also with ourselves. Honestly and accurately identifying how we are feeling is the first step in emotion regulation and stress management. Join in on our conversations by asking these questions at home!
When you are honest, how does it make you feel? Why?
How do you know if you’re being honest with yourself?
What is one strong emotion you had this week? How did you react or respond to it?
How can being honest with ourselves help us be more confident, calm, or focused when we are feeling stressed?

- Locking interior and exterior doors
- Turning off classroom lights
- Closing blinds and covering windows
- Maintain silence as much as possible
- Hold "lockdown" status until the "all clear" is announced.
