Welcome Back
Happy New Year and welcome back!
I hope your family was able to stay safe, healthy, and happy throughout the winter break. It went by quickly and we are excited to welcome the kids back to school!
It's short week and should be a smooth transition back into our daily routine. We have the kids in person on Wednesday and Thursday and then on Zoom on Friday. Our theme for Wednesday is Welcome Back Wednesday and we will wear our spirit wear to welcome each other back from the break!
We will also welcome our two new teachers Ms. Nicholas in 4th grade and Mrs. Brighton in 5th grade. They will be hosting family meet and greets on Tuesday night via zoom. Families of these two classrooms will get a welcome letter emailed to them with zoom information to join the meeting.
Welcome to our At Home students who are returning to In Person and we will continue to stay connected to all of our At Home students.
As you are helping students to prepare them for school, please help us teach into our health and safety protocols. Students will need to wear their masks to school each day (no neck gators) and we will continue our sanitizing and hand washing every 30 minutes throughout the day. We will maintain our cohorts and schedules as we did in 2nd quarter throughout the remainder of 2nd semester.
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or if we can provide support in any way. Thank you for your partnership in keeping the Robinson community safe.
Take Care-
Angeline

Battle of the Books- Message from Mrs. Davis
Battle of the Books
Hi! Thanks to all students who have been working hard to read the books in the Battle of the Books this year! We will be having online tryouts next Friday, December 18th via Zoom at 8:15AM. The format will be a Google form and there will be two questions about each of the books. Students do not need to have read all of the books; they will only attempt the questions for the books they have read. Next Friday will be the only time to tryout for the Battle this year unless there is an extenuating circumstance. Students should check their Library Schoology course Friday morning for a Zoom link. An announcement will be made prior to Winter Break with the students who have made the team.
20 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will make it onto one of our two teams of 10 who will compete in our Kirkwood Elementary Battle in January. From there, 10 of those students will make it onto our final team to compete in the St. Louis area Battle of the Books (Date TBD). Good luck to all students who are trying out!
