From Tim Yenca re: TASA Midwinter Conference to be held in Austin

This is a great opportunity to see Sir Ken again plus you and the team will receive an iTunes U training on Monday, Jan. 25th! iTunes U is and will be a perfect workflow for our students and will become very powerful once we get new iPads next year! I can definitely see 4th thru 8th using it (maybe 3rd? maybe 2nd?).

Who should attend?

Campus-level classroom teachers and others who hold non-administrative positions may participate in the workshop AND attend the Midwinter Conference as their district schedules permit for just $95 each; campus or district administrators who register for the Midwinter Conference may participate in the workshop for an additional $45 each (beyond the regular conference fee).

District teams of up to six people may include anyone who plays a role in campus or district edtech or digital integration initiatives:

  • classroom teachers
  • department chairs
  • instructional coaches and specialists
  • curriculum coordinators
  • teaching and learning experts
  • district and campus level instructional leaders

(These workshops are very similar to the Digital Content Leadership Academies TASA offered in recent years and in which nearly 1,000 Texas educators participated, so previous participants who attend will find significant overlap.)
