STAR Success Stories

The site below takes you to an infographic that shares success stories for STAR as an assessment tool.

You can watch the full webinar after the infographic to learn about details of all the reports.

December 21st and 22nd Dress up days

On Monday the 21st, we are all going to wear our " unique" Christmas sweaters to celebrate the season.

Tuesday, we can all wear comfy clothes and pajamas as the kindergarten students will all be dressed in jammies to watch and enjoy Polar Express.

Don't forget our visitors on Tuesday afternoon: Owin the Oriole, our NFDL Mascot will be visiting ELC after lunch and around 2:00 we can expect a visit from Santa.

Thanks to all who donated

Many of you shared food or money for the Food for Families Drive. Thank you so much for your generosity. The ALC students have worked hard to divvy up the food items, and we will hear soon from FLC what the totals have come to. Thanks everyone for giving to our families!

Thanks to those of you who have completed their second surveys and reflected upon them.

The next task coming up is the mid year reflection on the SLO. After the STAR assessment is completed, you will have a growth trajectory score for each student, and then you will be able to assess where you are with regard to the overall goal for kindergarten. Remember that our school grade level goal is to reach a growth percentile between the 45-55%.

For those of you on Year 3 or New Teachers, you will meet with me and we will have a mid year conference on the growth you have made with your SLO. For all others, the mid year SLO reflection is found with your PPG and SLO, if you scroll down further, you can enter your analysis. Let me know if you need help finding where to enter your reflection.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This will be the last bulletin for 2015, where did the year go? I want to take a minute to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Also I want to thank you for all the great work you continue to do each and everyday for the students and families of North Fond du Lac. Most of all, I want to thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your principal. I am truly honored and blessed to be able to serve such a dedicated staff! Please take time to relax, spend time with your family, and friends. Take care of yourself, and have fun! Then you can come back in January refreshed, pumped up, and all ready to go!
