Accepting Applications for 2018-2019

HSE- Houston is still accepting student applications for the 2018-2019 school year. There are availabilities for each grade level except for 2nd grade.

Tuesday: Socking it to drugs = Crazy Sock Day

Wednesday: Drugs are WACK = Wacky and Tacky Day

Thursday: Peace out drugs = 60/70's decade attire

Friday: (k-4)Get lost with a good book not with drugs = Dress as your favorite story book character

(5-8) Drug FREE is the way to be = Non-uniform dress


10/29 Monday: Our futures are bright = Wear neon attire

10/30 Tuesday: Giving drugs the boot = Cowboy/girl attire

ESL/title III PARENT MEETING

ESL Department will have a short meeting about ESL services at HSE-Houston on October 23rd from 8:30 to 9:00 AM

Cheer Candy Sales

Bring Your Money!

Every Monday HSE Cheerleaders will be selling candy after school so please bring your money and appetite to dismissal on Monday.

Candy will range from 25 cents to 2 dollars!

*All proceeds go to helping offset your HSE cheerleaders competition fees.

HSE Quiz Bowl Team Qualified to the Nationals

Congratulations to Ms. Van Horn and HSE Quiz Bowl team. They competed in the Texas tournament and qualified to the National Quiz Bowl. The national tournament will be held in the first week of May, in Chicago, Illinois.

The HSE I-Fest celebrates the multitude of cultures of which our school is comprised. Our 2017 event brought nearly 20 different countries together to introduce their traditional foods, drinks and dances to our students, their families, and the community. If you are interested in hosting a booth to represent your country or having your child perform at this year’s event, please fill out the attached forms and return them to the PTO box located in the front lobby. We are looking forward to enjoying the traditions, food and dances of those countries we have come to know and are excited to welcome new countries to join in our celebration. Don't feel like participating in any of the HSE fundraisers this year...Opt-out. Yes, the PTO provides an Opt-out option for all families who still want to feel good about helping the school raise money but don't want to go through with catalog sales or fun runs. Please see the attached form to see how you can Opt-Out of fundraising this year. All forms and payment can be sent back to your teacher in an envelope addressed to HSE PTO or placed in the PTO mailbox located in the front lobby.
