Illinois Valley Reading Council
Fall 2021
WE'RE BACK!
Please join Illinois Valley Reading Council as it gathers back together for the first time in a long while! Our goal is to arm teachers with effective tools to place in students' hands, ideas to motivate, and useful professional development to make good use of your time. With IVRC on your side, how can you go wrong?
Our first event will be one that allows for attendees to participate and share their best ideas for back to school or Fall fun with learning. Bring your idea, book, or visual to share and get lots of new ideas.
When: September 2, 2021
Time: 4:30 p.m. Registration and light meal
5:00-6:00 Sharing of Ideas
Where: So Chic Boutique, 111 W. Washington Street, Morton, Illinois

Everyone wins something!
Election of Officers
With a new year, it brings new officers to IVRC. An election will take place during the first event to get these wonderful volunteers into place. The position of secretary still needs to be filled. If you are interested in getting involved in your local reading council, this is your chance. Please let the current president, Regetta Wharram know at the following website if you can serve: mr.wharram@gmail.com.
Membership Sign up!
If your membership has lapsed, please renew! Our council has had a large decline of members during the pandemic. In order to receive the benefits of IRC and your local council, IVRC, membership is a must! You receive journal articles, Wednesday Webinars, lower conference rates, professional development opportunities, and events hosted by your local council. In order to renew, just visit the following website:
