Technical Knowledge

your personal technical knowledge is key with any job depending if its computing or an every day user your knowledge base on computers. It shows an employer that your capable of basic IT computing skills and wont need extra training on basic Microsoft application

Health and Safety

You have to be aware of health and safety while working but if your not aware it would be good if you went on a course because there are a few hazards in the IT workplace like tripping over cables sitting at a computer for long period of time with out breaks

Working Attitudes

show your employer your motivated for the job and enthusiastic about your job in the IT industry, also you should be determined to improve on your skills as a person I.e working in a team and showing your committed to task and work independently.

General Communication Skills

Cultural Differences
If a person is brought up in a different culture it may lead them to have a different views on certain subjects. Also they would have different beliefs on subjects. To get passed this you need to accept them for who they are.


Technology Include

The message to which you are delivering should be complete with facts and statistics to support the subject you are speaking about that way you have facts to back up what your saying.

Communication In Writing

Spelling+Grammar
The employee must be able to spell correctly and know how to pronounce words correctly so people can understand what you are talking and writing about. It is important as it will show the employer you have a basic understanding of the English language

Proofreading
Proofreading is important as you check for mistakes which you may have made and you get to make sure everything is to a good standard and that it all makes sense

Emails
Need to make sure you know how an Email works and how to send one. They important as they are a simpler way to send messages and files between 2 or more people. You also must know how to send them on and to forward them to clients and other employees, this will show the employer that you are able to work with computing technology.

Barriers

Use of Jargon

Complex vocabulary and words can confuse people so you need to try and only use little amounts of these complex words. Reduce the impact of using complex words by speaking as simple as you can.


Lack Of Attention

Lack of attention can make you miss things, things which can be important. You need to try and stay focussed on the task in hand, do this by forgetting anything else that may be happening and focus just on one task.


Speech Impairment

Someone who cant pronounce certain words can find it hard to associate with other people. To reduce speech impairment hire someone to help them and talk to them and not single them out or forget them.


Someone With Accents(Location)

Accents can be hard to understand. Someone who has an accent usually comes from a different area. Reduce the impact of this by hiring a translator to translate what they are speaking


Psychological Barriers

The psychological state of the communicator will determine how the message is being delivered and received. To reduce this communicators should attempt to be positive and confident. You need to personal things that are dragging you down at home and concentrate on work.


Lack Of Concentration

It can make you space out and then you miss important things and things that are being spoken. You need to focus solemnly on the task at hand and the person who is speaking.


Background Noise

Background Noise can distract you from your work. You need to block out any sound and focus.
