The Week in Review
The Lunar New Year assembly was a great success and the kindergarten students did a great job with their song. I have attached a link to a short video of them below.

The children have turned our drama centre into a store complete, with signs and cash register etc. It has become a popular centre during activity time.
It was a pleasure to meet with families on Thursday and Friday and we are looking forward to the observaton visits coming up in the next 2 weeks.
Jack Grunsky permission forms came home on Thursday, please send the signed form and the $8.00 back to schoool next week, thanks.
Next week on Tuesday and Wednesday we are lucky to be taking part in a dance workshop. Our time is from 8:50 - 9:15 so please be at school on time.

Information and Reminders!
- Library book exchange this week. Please send the books and the bag with the bar code on it, so we can exchange them.
- Poetry Folders come home every Friday, please have fun reading the poems/songs together. Make sure the folders come back to school in the mailbag on Monday so we can add the new page.
- Many of the children have the same or very similar clothing and they do not always know which items belong to them. This is taking up a lot of our time and causing some upset feelings. Please, please help us out by making sure that all removable clothing has your child's name written on the inside label. Thank you.
- The Ministry of Education has added an extra PD day to the current school year. So on Friday, April 15th 2016 there will be no school for the students.

Show and Tell 20 Questions
For the month of February we are going to continue being detectives. We are also going to practise asking good questions. So on your child's special day they should bring in a mystery object of their choice. They do not need to have any clues ready this time as the class will ask yes/no questions to gather information and then try to guess the object. Please make sure your child knows as much as possible about the object they bring in so they can answer the questions correctly. Some examples could be food (apple, cracker etc.) or something from your kitchen (fork, sppon, cup etc.) or a piece of clothing etc. This will help them to practise using questions that will help them to narrow down the guesses.
Here are the special helpers for next week.
Tuesday, Feb. 16th: Daniel
Wednesday, Feb. 17th: Thamiran
Thursday, Feb. 18th: Aaron and Darren
Friday, Feb. 19th: Cindy and Sean
