LB Williams Newsletter
October 2021
A Message from Mrs. Roth
It's hard to believe we are falling into October already! Our staff and students are even more comfortable with their schedules and routine for the year. We continue to value instructional time and the efforts our students show us every day at LBW. Let's keep the year going so well! Thank you parents for all of what you continue to do at home!
LB Williams Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 15 from 3:30 to 8:45pm. This is a great time to understand how your son or daughter have been doing in the classroom. It is always positive to communicate with your child's teacher throughout the entire year, but especially important to be involved with conferences twice a year too. Each student will be assigned a 15 minute time slot for you as the parent to visit with the classroom teacher. This year, as a building, we have decided to give you, as parents, two options for conferences which are virtually or a phone conference. If you choose virtual, a link will be shared with you by your classroom teacher. The detailed information about conferences will be coming home on Friday, October 2 from your classroom teacher. Thank you in advance for being flexible with our two conference options. We feel overall these are the best two choices to keep everyone safe at this time during the pandemic.
As a friendly reminder, we don't have school on Monday, October 12 for a pre-planned Professional Development Day for staff. There is no school on this day.
Again, we appreciate your positive support with all of what the students and staff are making happen this fall. I continue to be so amazed with our "Leaders Blooming Within."
Happy Fall!
Mrs. Roth

It is time for our schools Scholastic Book Fair! We will be having an on-line book fair this year.
Although it will be a bit different this year, we are hoping you hop online and check out the over 6000 items that are available to purchase. All of the purchases will be mailed directly to your home. The library uses the profit from the sales to help buy things for Maker Space and new books for the library.
Now would be an excellent time to purchase Birthday or Christmas gifts. You kids have been working so hard during all of the different challenges in the world right now, reward them with a new book!
