Informational Canvassing
We had a great PTO meeting this week with Dr. Ulrich and the cabinet. They were able to share information for Prop R and answer questions from our families. In addition, we were able to hear from the candidates who are running for our school board. Please take a minute to watch the video or look at the presentation to learn more about Prop R.
Informational Canvassing coming soon to your neighborhood. Our Robinson staff is excited to share information with you regarding Prop R. We will begin informational canvassing in neighborhoods this week and we will finished by April 2nd in time for the voting on April 6. If you see a Robinson staff member at your door or in your neighborhood, please feel free to ask them any questions you may have about the prop. If your child is a car rider, I'm also happy to answer a quick question at that time, or you can call/email me at school. Please email me if you would be interested in helping us to canvass- we could use the help!
As a reminder we have Parent-Teacher Conferences via zoom this week. Report Cards are not completed yet, and will be available via Infinite Campus on April 3-10th.
I will not have a newsletter next Sunday due to Spring Break. I hope that all of our families are able to use this time to connect with their children, enjoy time outdoors, and stay safe.
Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or if we can provide support in any way. Thank you for your partnership in keeping the Robinson community safe.
Take Care-

(Please use the Sanctuary Entrance located in front of the circle drive -- this entrance is handicap accessible)

Families will enter the Sanctuary room (please be mindful of other families who are present and distance when possible)
There is a pass-through window to the kitchen. Families can approach the window one at a time and Trinity Church volunteers will “shop” for the items you request (this will help limit exposure for everyone)
A “Menu” of available items will be posted near the window
Quantities for each family may be limited, items are subject to availability
Food items offered (meat, frozen meals, bread, breakfast cereal, and limited quantities of milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables)
There will also be household cleaning items and personal care items.
If you are unable to make it to the pantry you may fill out this form and Robinson Cares volunteers will “shop” for you and deliver your items to your home (food and household items only)
Form will be available March 12- March 18; Deliveries will be made on or after March 19
Please note that in-person shopping offers a wider variety of available items than requesting delivery does. Deliveries are limited to the items on the form since food and non-food inventory varies month-to-month.
Trinity Presbyterian members will be on hand to facilitate a feeling of community and possibly provide additional resources to our families.

No Summer Adventure Club 2021
To make up for lost time we are having our first ever beginning band camp this summer, June 7-17 at KHS. Camp will run from 9:00am-11:30am and is for any current 5th grade/incoming 6th grade student. If you started playing virtually this year, we encourage you to join us! If you did not start this year and would like to start in person this summer, we would love for you to join us!
Students will be introduced to instrument assembly and sound, note values and rhythms. They will learn to read a staff key and a time signature, learn some fun songs and give an outdoor performance for family members on the last day of camp. Each participant will need to bring his/her own instrument. We recommend renting from Nottelmann Music. Campers should choose from the following: flute, clarinet, trumpet or baritone. Musician’s masks and instrument bell covers will be provided at camp.

Summer School Information
Please visit our Summer School website to learn more about our expanded summer options for students. A range of K-12 jobs will be posted later this week, and additional information about professional learning and curriculum work will be shared soon.
Student and staff wellbeing has been and will be central to our planning. Families will need time away this summer, and many will schedule vacations that have been on hold for months. We know this, and we appreciate this - just as we know and appreciate that many students have academic and social-emotional needs to be addressed. Our summer plans seek to balance the needs of students and staff, recognizing important work to be done while keeping wellness at the forefront of our thinking.

Prop R - Right for Kids, Right for Our Community
A Zero-Tax Rate Change Proposal Would Address Overcrowding, Safety and Security Challenges, and More
Faced with overcrowded classrooms and a lack of adequate instructional space in its schools, the Kirkwood School District Board of Education unanimously voted on Monday, Jan. 25, to place a zero-tax rate change bond proposal on the April 6, 2021 ballot.
The proposal, called Proposition R, is a ballot issue designed to provide the financial resources to address overcrowding and maintain class sizes with additional classrooms, update aging infrastructure and systems, enhance safety and security district-wide, and complete additional needed facility updates. If approved by voters, every building in the District would be improved. Proposition R requires 57.143% voter approval.
Prop R does not include a new elementary school building.
