Today is Giving Tuesday!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Goodness Grows is always working to raise funds to keep our programs going. If you would like to make a contribution, one easy way is to click the button below.

Whenever you shop through Amazon, you can earn money for Goodness Grows! AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon that lets you enjoy the same wide selection of products, low prices, and convenient shopping features as Amazon.com, including Prime member benefits. The difference is that when you shop AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price to the charitable organization of your choice. You'll see eligible items marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. You can use your existing Amazon.com account on AmazonSmile, or create a new account. On your first visit to AmazonSmile, before you begin shopping, you will be prompted to select a charitable organization to receive donations. Your selection will be saved and then every eligible purchase you make on AmazonSmile will result in a donation to your chosen organization.

Our Newest Project

Last year, we made birdhouses and snowmen. Earlier this fall we were painting pumpkins. Now we are making Reindeer Food as this year's Christmas craft. We are having so much fun mixing up the food to be sprinkled on lawns on Christmas Eve to make sure Santa and his reindeer know where to stop! Once the food is bagged, we use burlap to create a special reindeer just for you. Look for our reindeer at our upcoming shows and buy one for the kids in your life!

Our jams make perfect gifts for the holidays. They fit in stockings, are appreciated as a hostess gift, and make a great way to say "Thanks!" to teachers, school bus drivers, and anyone you want to appreciate this holiday season! Jam also helps you create an easy party appetizer - just pour a jar over cream cheese, serve with crackers, and voilà! Making thimble cookies, thumbprint cookies, kiffle or any other jam filled cookies? Our jams make great fillings! Currently we have:

Fun at Fall Fundraisers

A great big thank you to Orange Leaf at Firestone Farms and Diletto Winery in Boardman! Our community is lucky to have both of these businesses. We appreciate their giving hearts and their willingness to help local organizations, like Goodness Grows. Orange Leaf hosted a fundraiser on November 6th for us, donating 20% of each purchase. It was an amazing combination of delicious frozen yogurt and giving! Diletto Winery spent Thanksgiving weekend helping us. We celebrated Friendsgiving on Wednesday with a Wine & Wings event and also benefited from wine sales on Friday and Saturday. A good time was had by all! We also want to thank all the people that attended and participated in these events. Your support means the world to us!

Now is the time of year when we reflect and give thanks for the good things in our lives and all of us at Goodness Grows give thanks for you. Without your interest in and support of our programs, we wouldn't be here! In the words of Aesop, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” We thank you for all your kindness and your donations of time, supplies, skills, and funding. Without your generous donations, we cannot operate and we cannot continue our work with our clients, the classrooms, mission groups, food banks, and more. You truly do make a difference. Thank you!
