Support Representative Update
Greater Naples and Bonita Springs
Dear Classical Conversations families,
As we have started this new year, I pray that your family has settled into what will be a wonderful year of learning. We have an added blessing of doing this within a community of like-minded parents. Our goal to classically educate the children God has entrusted to us with an intense focus on knowing God and making Him known is woven throughout our days. Because we have chosen this path, we have an opportunity to "consider one another on toward love and good deeds." This will not always be easy as we are not all the same in personality, and we will have different life circumstances that arise. However, as followers of Christ, we are partakers of the same grace, loved with the same love, having one and the same Spirit. For this reason, we are spurred to brotherly love that stirs up and causes us to do good works for His glory.
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world." Philippians 2:12-15
I was recently in a conversation with a friend about home-centered education. We both have children in the upper Challenge levels. We've walked from Foundations, Essentials, and through the Challenge levels as the years have progressed. We discussed how this is not always easy, and if it was everyone would be doing it. We did not hang out there very long because the conversation quickly switched to the rewards. The reward of not quitting when it becomes difficult. The reward of witnessing the fruit as your child becomes their own young adult. The reward of having them speak life and encouragement into you.
As the days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into years, trust that God has this. He hung the stars, so He will care for each member of your family.
Celebrate!
