8th Grade Graduation

We are closely monitoring the situation in Multnomah County, so please keep in mind that our plans may have to change in response to Local Health guidelines.

Commissioning mass: Friday, June 11th at 10 a.m.

Graduation Ceremony: Tuesday, June 15th at 6 p.m. in the church

Unfortunately, due to health and safety guidelines it is not open to the entire community. We will be live-streaming so that any family members unable to attend can still watch!

Please send photos of your graduate to elyoussefr@stthereseschool.org and we will put together a slide show of photos celebrating them. Please send a baby photo, as well as photos of your child from kinder-8th grade. If you have photos of other students in the class we would love for you to share them! The slide show will be played at the graduation ceremony.

Summer Camps at La Salle

Summer is almost here! Are you looking for a fun summer camp to meet new friends? Do you want to come play with friends for a full or a half day camp? La Salle Prep is offering morning and afternoon youth camps this summer for students entering grades 1-8. Choose a half day option (most camps run 9-noon or 1-4) or stay the entire day – register for your favorite activity and spend the week on La Salle’s 34 acre campus. Check out our Falcon youth camps during the weeks of July 5-9 and July 12-16 and two more athletic camps in August.

La Salle summer camps are organized into three different age groups: Lil' Falcons (grades 1-3), Flyin' Falcons (grades 4-6), and Fightin' Falcons (grades 6-8). Incoming 6th graders may choose whichever camp group they would prefer. Camps include Dance, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, and Art & Design. If students register for both a morning camp and afternoon camp they are welcome to stay on campus for a supervised lunch. Campers must bring their own lunches.

Read about our camps, coaches, and more at Youth Summer Camps. Register online at Register Here.

Go Falcons!

All the best,

Katie Allen

Updated Case Rates 5/15/2021

This week we have kindergarten and middle school learning at home because we had two positive COVID cases in our community. They will return to the school building on Monday, May 17th. We are still not experiencing spread within the community, because we are following protocols while here at school, and we always look to the MCHA for guidance about how to manage these situations as they arise.

Case rates in Multnomah County fell significantly, and we are at 144/100,000 cases, with test positivity down under 6% at this time. Clackamas County is also falling, back down around 186/100,00 with test positivity under 8% - we need to continue to be vigilant and use all safety precautions so that our trends continue downwards.

If ANYONE in your household has symptoms of COVID-19, you MUST keep all students at home. This limits exposure to the cohort/class at school and without that exposure, we can keep our classrooms in session here on campus.

The impacts of COVID-19 are hitting a little closer to home now, and we just want everyone to be safe. Please support our efforts by reminding your students to wear their masks properly, wash/sanitize hands, and keep a safe distance from their peers. We encourage you all to continue to practice safety when you are out and about with your family and friends.

Thank you for all that you do to help keep our students and families safe!

COVID-19 Vaccinations for ages 12 and up

The FDA has approved emergency use of the vaccine for children ages 12 and up, and some students have already begun the vaccination process. If you need assistance finding a vaccination site, or getting your child scheduled we are more than happy to help.

You can find more information by clicking here.

Travel and Quarantine

We require that anyone who travels outside of Oregon for any reason plan for being away from school for 14 days following their return.

If you or anyone in your household travels, you won't meet our health requirements and will need to learn from home for 14 days following your return. St. Therese staff follows these same safety rules and will likewise quarantine at home following any travel outside of Oregon if they are unvaccinated.

Schools in Multnomah County are advised to consider travel for K-12 sports to be non-essential, regardless of the update from the Oregon Health Authority. This has to do with the case rates tied to sports teams, and the variance of restrictions between states and counties - we can't guarantee that other states will follow the same rules we do in Oregon, and we have a responsibility to keep our community safe.

Please call the office as soon as possible to notify us about any plans for travel that will include your student accessing distance learning for a period of time so that we can inform teachers and make arrangements to get you the necessary learning materials.

We appreciate all that you do to keep our community safe, and our students learning at school with us.

Now enrolling preschool and pre-kindergarten!

Please go to factsmgmt.com and register your preschool or pre-kindergarten student for the 2021-2022 school year! Our program is in the process of licensure, and we will be open this fall. Preschool students must be 3 years old and potty trained by September 1st, and pre-kindergarten students must be 4 years old.

If you have any questions, please give us a call! You can find information about tuition for our programs on our website, https://www.stthereseschool.org/little-flower-preschool - we look forward to a full group this fall!

Enrollment Opportunities

If you know a family interested in Catholic school, or just not satisfied with their current school options, please refer them to us! We are happy to share about our school and schedule tours so that we can grow our enrollment.

We have so much to offer children and their families - please help us get the word out!
