Our Colts Caring Community is a State School of Character!

I am excited to share that we have been named a State School of Character by Character.org.

This is due to your Kindness, Integrity, Acceptance, Perseverance and Accountability! We were able to showcase our core values through the 11 Principles Framework for Schools; a nationwide program. Click here for the State School of Character Press Release.

Huge congratulations to Jade Chen, our PCMS Spelling Bee Champion!

After a long and grueling bee, Jade won on the word "fanfic." The regional qualifier will be on March 11th with the actual Regional Bee on March 25th at 3672 West Pine Mall on Saint Louis University's campus.

Congratulations again! You worked hard and deserve to celebrate :)

Thank you,

Important Pickup and Dropoff Information:

During the cold weather, we have more parents taking and picking up their students. Please be mindful of the students walking throughout the parking lot and we implore you to drive as slow as possible, while also looking out for the children.

Schedule starting in 2023-24

We are excited to share with you the results of the Middle School Scheduling Task Force, regarding the bell and calendar schedule beginning with the 2023-24 school year. In August, the Task Force was formed to make recommendations, which consisted of parents, and included a randomly selected, student focus group at each school.

With this in mind, we want to inform you of the schedule starting in 2023-24.

  • We will maintain a hybrid schedule with four (4) block days (odd/even) and one (1) 8-period day, during a five-day week.

  • Advisory will remain on block days.

  • 8-period days will be moved to Wednesdays on a five-day week to provide a more consistent schedule of always starting the week with an odd, block day.

Here is a sample of how the schedule would look during a typical five-day week:

We appreciate the Task Force members' time once again, as they dove deep into all of the data and feedback provided throughout the process to form their recommendations. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Take care,

Dr. Lorenz
