Service Learning Day Coming Wednesday, May 11

By- Victor T.

We are close to May 11 where service will be coming up. Sara Albright, an art teacher at the middle and elementary schools, plans for the day to participate in helping clean our community. When planning service learning day, Ms. Albright make various phone calls to contact the district's administrator, various community leaders, and also to line up busses that will bring students to the sites that they might serve. After she must assign student groups to where they will serve. Some of the places that students pitch in include: the BEA fairgrounds, local cemetery sites, Parker Oaks in Winnebago, St. Luke’s, and the Senior Center in Blue Earth, . Albright coordinates with teachers, chaperones, and more to make sure that everyone knows their role and has a great day.
