A NOTE FROM DR. CHURCH
Dear Totem Falls Families,
This Wednesday was School Nurse Appreciation Day. And if there was ever a year to appreciate our nurse, this was it. Mary Mellis has been instrumental in supporting the health and safety initiatives at school this year. From helping to determine what structures were needed in preparing for student return, to answering parent and staff questions regarding Covid and the details of return, to the daily filters we go through in making sure school is safe for all; she has been our MVP. We all want to thank Mary for her hard work and support of us all this year. I would also like to thank Mrs. Lothyan for her hard work this year, holding down the 1st grade fort while Mrs. Newhard was on leave. Mrs. Newhard returned to the remote classroom this week, finding a group of students who have been well cared for and progressed academically.
I also would like to thank all of you who have responded to the survey about returning to school next year. Again, this is so helpful in determining how many students will return and subsequently, how many teachers we will be provided.
