What is going on?
I am needing a donation of 8 packages of gumdrops. Please let me know if you can help contribute. Thanks for considering. I will need it for next week.
The next few weeks we are studying different cultures and holidays. If you would like to share your culture with us? Please come in and teach us! Email me with a few options of dates and times and we will work it out.
From Healthy Lifestyles
To promote Healthy Lifestyles month, the PTA has requested the students submit a page on How I Am Healthy. We are asking the students to submit by Friday, 11/30. They can draw a picture, submit a write up, use clippings, or whatever they choose.
For grades 2-5, students must also include a healthy goal.
We will select a winner for each grade level and hang their submission on the Wall of Champions.
PARENTS - MORNING SAFETY CONCERN: Car rider drop off line closes at 7:40 and side doors are locked, please drive to front of the building to drop off your child. Also. please have your child meet us at the gym in the morning. Sometimes I walk up and kids are waiting for us on the porch. This makes me nervous. Thank you!
It’s that time of the year again!
Science Fair is right around the corner. Join us in the library for Science Research Night on Wednesday, December 12th from 5:30-6:30. We will have books, rubrics and some science project examples displayed to help your child get in their scientific mindset. All grade levels may participate, however, only grades 3-5 will be judged and may progress to the regional fair. Science fair projects will be due Friday, January 11 no later than 7:35 am. Students will take projects to their classroom. Judging will take place on Monday, January 14.
We will need Science Fair Judges on Wednesday, January 14th from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. No science background needed!
Your job will be to talk with students about their science fair project, and fill out simple judging rubrics. There will be a brief training from 8:00-8:15 that day. It is OK if you cannot help the entire 4 hours, just let us know your availability in your email. Contact Laure Stroh at Laure_Stroh@roundrockisd.org.
