What's Happening Wednesday?!?!
March 20th, 2024
Good morning BES staff,
I hope you all have plans for rest and relaxation over break! Lord knows you all deserve it!!
Thank you to the staff members who attend the superintendent candidate q&a sessions after school on Monday and Tuesday. It is incredibly important that you all have a voice in the superintendent selection. This is a pivotal position for a school district and one that really counts right now for Byron. I am optimistic about our future as a school district and have faith that the Board of Directors will choose the best candidate to move Byron Area Schools forward!
When we return on April 1st, the SAEBRS window opens and closes on Friday April 12th. Please remember to complete your teacher assessment on your students WHOM have not opted out and upper grades will take their student assessment with Bekah at Lab. If you have any questions see, link for testing instructions.
Below is the Coaching Connection from Ashley. Be sure to check that out this week. Also, thank you all for participating in our "Paper, Rock, Scissors" Challenge! Its been fun watching all of the friendly competitions I have seen take place in our hallways accompanied by laughter and smiles!
Our ELA curriculum review committee met last Friday to look at the first option for piloting next school year. It was a FULL day of good information, scouring pages and resources for important elements of literacy learning as well as a zoom presentation directly from the publishing company.
Thanks to Renee and Amy for putting together Friday's Science Alive schedule (see below). Science will be in your classroom. There are two presenters of the animals and they will be doing two different rooms at the same time. Also, there will be no library that day and no Michelle or Andrea coming into classrooms, so we could make this schedule work. There WILL be music but a few band kids may be a little late. Thanks for being flexible!
PS. Grades will be saved on April 10th.
Thanks for all you do on the daily!
-Stacey
