Produce Box Delivery Update

Big image
Hi there! I hope everyone has had a relaxing weekend so far and also gotten the chance to spend some time outdoors enjoying this gorgeous weather! I just wanted to take a moment to give my neighborhood members a brief update in regards to upcoming produce delivery.

As you may be aware, I've been unable to make deliveries for the past month due to the unfortunate circumstance of a breaking my foot while in Myrtle Beach for a soccer tournament back in April. I should probably go ahead and end the story at this point so the possibility of sustaining my injury while doing something athletic & exciting may seem to exist. Unfortunately (and embarrassingly!) that was not the case. It was simply due to not paying sufficient attention while walking, and I ended up stepping directly on top of an irrigation drain that had a broken cover. Lesson learned to always watch where I'm walking from now on! But at least there was also some good news from that weekend since my son and his teammates won first place in their age division of the soccer tournament :)

Needless to say, I am both ready and looking forward to resuming deliveries of your fresh produce box each week. I would like to inform all of my delivery members that I plan to return to my delivery route on Wednesday, May 18th and am very excited to do so!

I hope you'll enjoy some of the things that I've shared within this newsletter! I thought it would be a nice way to connect with everyone and I had a fun time creating it :)

Upcoming Events In Raleigh

Well, this doesn't relate to produce, but I thought I'd share with you that Artsplosure's annual Spring Festival will take place this upcoming weekend, May 20-22. It's a fun, family-friendly event that's definitely worth checking out!

Using Produce As An Arts & Crafts Medium

If you like arts & crafts, here's an activity that's neat for both kids and adults. Artistic stamping prints are created by using the parts of produce that would typically be tossed. So I guess in this case it's ok to "play with your food" :)
