Greetings!


With the weather headed our way, it is a good time to double-check that your contact information is up to date. When the weather brings unsafe travel conditions, you can follow the local television stations for information about school closings. As a general rule, St. Therese closes when Wayland Union closes for the day. Once we receive notification from Wayland, we will also post the school closing on our website, and Facebook page and send out a parent alert from our student information system.


While on the topic of being safe, we have received 100 Covid tests for distribution to our families and communities. If you would like Covid tests for your family, especially after holiday travels, you may request them in the school office.


I will be out of school recuperating next week. Please feel free to email or text me with any questions or concerns. I will get back to you as soon as I am able. Mrs. Orlowski will be the teacher in charge while I am out.


Please know that when I count my Thanksgiving blessings, your children and our St. Therese families are on my list!

Change in Christmas Program Date!

Please take note that our Christmas Program has moved to Wednesday, December 14 at 6 pm at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. This will allow our program to happen during Fr. Evelio's Christmas Around the World Event. Following the program, all families are invited to the parish hall to view nativities from 50 nations around the world.

Santa's Secret Shop

Planning is underway for this year's Santa's Secret Shop December 12-14. Information will be coming home in backpacks soon. We are in need of volunteers to help students with shopping and gift wrapping. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the school office.

Annual Pie Sale

We will be selling pies through November 28th. This year's choices are apple and cherry. The cost is $12 each, or 3 for $33, mix or match! They are delicious and are ready to be baked or can be frozen. They make great gifts!! Pies will be assembled Saturday, December 3 in the school gym. Orders need to be paid for and picked up that day from 12 pm - 3 pm. If you would like to help with assembling pies, we would love to have you! This is a very fun time! Help Needed

The virtual auction during Catholic Schools Week is a big hit and raises money for our Home and School group. They support so many of the activities and extras throughout the year. In order to have donations for the auction, we need to start now. Our urgent need right now is for someone to put together the donor letters. We have letters, envelopes, and stamps. If you are willing to help make it happen for our school, let us know!

All school volunteers are required to be Virtus trained (available online) and have a current criminal background check. You may complete the Virtus training at www.Virtus.org>>First Time Registrant.


Criminal background check (iChat) forms can be found here and may be turned in at the office.

Key Cards for Sale

The new 2023 KeyCard coupon books are now available in the school office. The price is $30 and includes a coupon book and unlimited use card valid at hundreds of area merchants. Start saving today through December 31, 2023. Our profit is $15 per sale which goes to Home and School to pay for field trips and other school events.

The November pizza form is now available in your Family Portal. After, completing your form, please send in your payment. If payment is not received after week 1, we will invoice you through FACTS.

Health Reminders

As we get into cold and flu season, a few reminders:


*If your child has run a fever, they need to be fever free for at least 24 hours (without using medications) to return to school.
