Mashburn Elementary Blue Bear Notes
December 18, 2015
This is a great time of year to reflect on all of the great things that have happened in your family in 2015. In our house meeting and in our classrooms we are reflecting on all of our Mashburn happenings too! One of the activities we are participating in is creating school-wide norms. Norms are expected behaviors that form a foundation for our school. These norms are based off of our Mashburn 20 and the 7 Mindsets. You may want to create family norms! Eat together at least three times a week, read one book before bed, never say mean words to each other, and always say I love you are all examples of family norms. As we create these expected behaviors for Mashburn think about what an impact it could also have on your family!
A Note From Mrs. Smith
I hope you all have an amazing holiday! This time is both super special and difficult for many families. Our wish here at Mashburn is that you take some time to unplug, enjoy some special memories with your children and cherish this time. Thank you for being RIDICULOUSLY amazing! ~Mrs. Smith~

Lost and Found
We have quite a few jackets and other lost items in the courtyard outside the cafeteria. Please stop by and check this growing collection of items to see if we have what you’re missing. Coats and jackets will be donated to charity after the break, so don’t delay!
Forsyth County Technology Fair
The 2016 Tech Fair will be held on January 30, 2016 at Whitlow Elementary School. Registration is now open until January 8. The fair is open to students in grades 3 through 12. Many of you already have a technology project you've completed for class that could easily be turned into an entry for the Tech Fair. Sample categories include 3D modeling, Animated Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Digital Video Production, Game Design, Programming, and Multimedia Applications just to name a few. Please visit the Mashburn website for more information and all the details you need in order to participate. All students who participate in the Tech Fair may appear on Good Morning Mashburn to present their project (if they choose)-see Mrs. Lochbaum to work out the details once you've completed your registration.
