Chief Charlo Elementary School News
Principal's Notes
Dear Wolfpack Families,
Thank you all who attended parent-teacher conferences this spring. We had another great turn out with families and it was great to hear the positive conversations celebrating student growth and collaborating to support all our students.
A reminder to all families, Spring break is 25th-29th.
Kindergarten registration for all 9 MCPS elementary schools will begin March 11th and run through April 12th. To enroll, a child must be age 5 on or before September 10, 2019. While registration will remain open throughout the summer, please know that we have been filling up fast the last several years. The sooner children register the better! It is possible that a student can potentially be leveled to another district elementary school if we fill up. We use the registration date as the determinate. To register, you will need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record & two forms of identification to verify your physical address e.g., utility bill, phone bill, lease agreement to complete registration.
Please be on the lookout for information on our inaugural Chief Charlo STEAM night, April 10th, 6-7pm. Please join us on a night to showcase the many experiences your children have had in the areas of science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.
Finally, a BIG thank you goes out to all the parents and teachers who volunteered during this year’s Sock Hop. The Chief Charlo PTO did a fantastic job of organizing the event.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
