Nikola Tesla

Jessica and Nick!!! 6th period

Florescent lights

He invented how light can be harnessed and distributed. He used florescent lights for about 40 years before the industries invented them and sold them for profit. Electromagnets is a conductive metal object surrounded by a long wire in a light bulb.

The radio

Radio signals are just another frequency that needs a transmitter and receiver. Radios can detect signals with electric fields.

The motor

Eclectic motors are used for many things in today's world, like fans, water pumps, machine tools, watches, compressors, power tools and a lot more. 90% of all motors are induction motors. There is a rotating magnetic field in the stationary part of the motor.

The remote uses electric magnetic forces to send signals too the object it is trying to control

Cell phones

The cellular emergency cell phone generator allows you to charge your phone. The phone also uses electromagnetism by waves that are sent encoded with these electromagnetic radiation propagated by the antenna.

Neon lights

Neon light contains an element such as mercury. An element current is passed through the light that excites the electrons. It drives the outermost electron to a higher energy level which makes the light appear.

Vacuum tube

Vacuum tubes are what allow us to suck of dirty particles on surfaces. The gas tubes contain no air. All the gases are evacuated from the tube. Some vacuum tools have been replaced by transistors.
