Show and Tell Fridays

Show and Tell Fridays…

  • The item/event shared must be related to the monthly show and tell topics. It must fit in your child’s backpack (if it doesn’t, you may take a picture of the item.)
  • Every child must share one Friday per month.
  • Each child will be getting a score for his/her speaking and listening skills.
  • Every child must fill out a “show and tell” form prior to sharing. Please help your child by filling out the form together.

September Topics –

* A sign of the fall season

* Sing a patriotic song

* An item that an explorer might use (map, compass, binoculars)

* An American flag (real or a picture)

September Homework

· Reading Log: Please read with/to your child for at least 10 minutes every day. Then have your child complete the reading log. Don’t forget to practice 2-5 sight words per week from the homework folder.

· Math Practice Packet: Please help your child to complete 2-3 pages per day from the math packet. Chapter 2 will be sent home on 9/16. Also, please help your child practice counting to 100 and beyond.

· Monthly Family Homework Project: Each month there will be a project to be completed at home. September Project is coming soon…

· Treasures Online: Please visit the Treasures Home Access website via our class website to have access to decodable texts, leveled readers, and phonics videos/games.

· Handwriting: Please watch the videos on the Handwriting page of our class website. The first video will be posted mid-September.

Thank you to all the wonderful parent volunteers helping with the library, computer lab, mini museum, reading/math stations, and with prep work. If you would like to volunteer, please let me know.
