Rotary Club Seeking Used Books!
The Shakopee Rotary Club needs books for their annual book sales which take place April 24-26 and May 1-2.
If you have any gently used books, cds, dvds, fiction, especially children’s books, cookbooks, and travel books, please bring them to the Shakopee West Junior High Media Center between now and the first week in April. A bin is located at the entrance. Thanks in advance for your generosity.
Young Authors' Conference is Thursday, March 19!
Featuring keynote speaker, May Lee-Yang and hands-on breakout sessions led by published authors, illustrators, journalists, poets, and more, students will be challenged to take their writing to the next level.
Yang, who is a playwright, poet, prose writer, and performance artist, will share tips and tricks to getting into the creative zone, so you can harness the power of inspiration instead of waiting for it to come find you.
