Strive for Progress, not Perfection

August Already?!

This summer has FLOWN by, I can't believe it is already August!! Staying fit and healthy is always a challenge in the summer. Between Vacations and Temptations it is hard to always make smart choices. Whether you have stuck with it all summer, ready to get back on track, or ready to GET YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY started for the first time...THE TIME IS NOW! Today is THE day!!

For those of you who don't me, my husband and I started T25 in January of 2014, we then began Shakeology in February of 2014. We were gung ho for 5 months, took a month off for both of our sisters weddings, I also did a few rounds of 21 day fix, and now we are back to it. T25 has completely been the reason our lives have changed and we feel better than ever. To date I have lost 25-30lbs depending on the day and Eric has lost 20+. We both absolutely LOVE T25 and it is something good for us that we enjoy doing together, now that's a DATE!! :)

It's only 25 minutes which is so important with the crazy-busy lives we lead, it's upbeat which is great because we get bored easily , and the results have come fast and furious which is necessary because patience is not our strongest suit.

THIS MONTH the T25 Challenge Pack is ON SALE for the last time until mid year 2015. This is such a great deal I want to make sure anyone who has ever considered T25 takes advantage. Please contact me for details at

Other Exciting News:

CHALLENGE GROUPS HAVE CHANGED: I will continue to run challenge groups based off a single program for instance ....

But in Addition... The New Challenge Group Set up will be focused on the whole body for 4 weeks. Each week will focus on something different that inspires your mind, your body, and your soul. We are in week 2 of the first one, there are 60+ challengers, and it is going GREAT...people are loving it!

This month my fitness team broke all sorts of records and has added 50 new health and fitness coaches that are out there helping every day people reach and exceed their own health and fitness goals. It is absolutely the most amazing and exciting experience to be a part of something so HUGE that has so much further to go! In July I also ran my first "internship" A Glance into Coaching with 10 fabulous ladies...HUGE success!!

If you like to motivate other people, make additional income, are positive, and want to focus on a healthy and fit lifestyle...this may be just the opportunity for you!!

8 Cancer Fighting Foods

Here are 8 great foods that do just that:

1. Broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables. These green veggies are rich in folate, which plays a huge role in DNA repair. The contain chlorophyll which binds with (and eliminates) the carcinogens found in charred meat and cigarette smoke. And they contain indoles, phytonutrients that also help eliminate carcinogens and regulate estrogen.

2 and 3. Coffee and Tea. Studies have linked these tasty beverages to a reduction in prostate and colon cancers. They’re both rich in antioxidants, chemicals that block free radicals. (Free radicals damage cells, potentially causing mutations.) One of the more controversial benefits of these drinks is that they both also contain caffeine. Say what you will about this stimulant, but it has been shown to inhibit cell growth, potentially reducing the risk of several cancer types, including ovarian cancer.

4. Mushrooms, especially shiitake, maitake, and reishi. These fantastic fungi have been shown to have antitumor properties. They contain a substance called lentinan, a polysaccharide thought to stimulate the immure system and attack cancer cells

5. Oranges and other citrus. These fruit contain limonene, a substance shown to attache breast cancer cells. They’re a rich source of antioxidant vitamin C, which is believed to ward off several cancers, including lymphoma and liver cancer. They also contain phytonutrient bioflavonoids and phenolics, the latter which are believed to slow the aging process and protect against tumors.

6. Tomatoes. Whether you consider them fruits or veggies, they’re are a great source of lycopene, a powerful antioxidant phytonutrient believed to ward off lung, bladder, stomach, cervix, skin, and most of all - prostate cancer. They also contain vitamin C. This is also one of those unusually times when processing is a good thing nutritionally. Cooked tomatoes, as well as tomato sauce and juice, all feature more absorbable lycopene.

7 and 8. Garlic and Onions. These two stinkers belong to the allium veggie group, which has been shown to slow cancer growth in the stomach, breast, esophagus, colon, and lung. They contain sulfur compounds, which fire up detoxification enzymes in your liver and clear out carcinogens. They also contain the anti-inflammatory phytonutrient quercetin, which is thought to kill cancer cells.

Cancer is a scary thing, especially given how prevalent it’s become in our modern world. So stack the odds in your favor, and add these delicious, whole foods to your diet.
