Plants
Have you ever wanted to do something with an abandoned, empty space of land, but don't know what to do? Not only will it fill that empty space up and help it look better, it also promotes oxygen production too. Its easy, just plant trees.
Plants are really easy to take care of. You even have a partner to help you take care of it, the Sun. All you need to do is water the plant daily, and let the sun do the photosynthesis for you. The value of photosynthesis to a plant is very important. Without it, plants wouldn't survive.
Not only is it important to plants, its also important to our survival on earth. Without photosynthesis, plants begin to die, and without plants, we die because plants make up 90% of our oxygen, and without oxygen, we aren't able to survive.
Its not only important to humans, its also important to animals. A lot of animals are herbivores. They are animals that are vegetarians, who eat a lot of plants to survive. Omnivores also eat plants, along with meat. Even though plants are at the bottom of the food chain, if they disappear, so will a lot of animals because their only food source is gone.
If you do have any plants, its a win-win situation. We give it Carbon Dioxide and it gives us Oxygen right back. That's why plants help us breathe, because it gives us oxygen in exchange for carbon dioxide.
Photosynthesis is really simple. All you have to do is water[H2O] the plant and let out carbon dioxide[CO2], which isn't very hard, and then the sun gives it radiant energy [sunlight] to help the plant make its food [glucose]. The formula for photosynthesis isn't very hard to remember either. The formula is 6 H2O + 6 CO2 + sunlight [radiant energy] =C6H12O6 + 6 O2 which makes glucose.
Have you ever wondered what chloroplasts are? Chloroplast capture the energy from the sun, which helps make glucose for the plant.
You don't have to plant many plants if you don't want to, but I encourage you to plant a few trees in your environment. It might help the world survive with its oxygen production, and it gives animals something to chew on.
