Salmon's Week 19 Update
January 25th-29th
Overview:
Writing: We will begin work on our persuasive writing techniques. We will be working on persuasive ideas like the best dessert to eat, the worst animal to have as a pet, and what would you change about our school.
Science: Students will have a quiz over the States of Matter on Monday, January 25th. All students received a study guide on this past Wednesday on bright orange paper. We will begin our unit on Force/Motion and Simple Machines this coming week.
Social Studies: We will be finishing our unit on the Northwest and moving on to the Mid-West.
No School Friday, January 29th
Reminders:
STAR Testing Results Reading: I sent home the results with the students "growth" in the report cards. We are making great strides in reading this year. Thank you for the support at home and please please please keep the kids reading!!!
Permission Slips for Friday, February 12th Symphony: Please return the permission slips as soon as you can. We must have this on file for your child to attend.
Valentine's Day: What love we share! I will be sending home a class list next week for the student's to use. Please make sure that if your child plans on bringing in valentines that they have enough for all students.
We also voted to have a Valentine's Day Box competition with the theme of "Animals". I have attached a few amazing photos of examples. Please make sure all boxes are in by Thursday, February 11th. Due to the concert we will be having lunch in the room on February 12th to celebrate and share our valentine cards.
