As we wind down the Fall Season we want to congratulate all of our athletes on a job well done! Great job Wolfpack!
Our football team heads to Chaparral tonight with a game time of 3:30 for Freshmen and 7:30 for Varsity. Come cheer them at their last regular season game.
Girls’ Tennis and Golf will head into CIF play next week as well as Boys’ Waterpolo. Good luck Teams.
Anyone interested in joining the Swim team there will be a brief meeting on November 4th, Monday on the pool deck at 2:45.
Girls Interested in playing Softball, tryouts will be held November 14th @ 3:00 on the varsity field. You must be cleared to play
Steppin With The Pack is coming up in February. This event is for all girls and boys in grades 1-8. $40 includes practice,t-shirt and a performance at a Varsity Girls’ Basketball game.

FAFSA
Seniors - It is important that you submit your 2020/2021 FAFSA as soon as possible. Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2020, however it is important to note that money is allotted by college financial aid offices on a first come-first get basis by the date you submit your FAFSA.
All families that complete their application by March 2nd will receive an additional graduation ticket, for a total of 6 tickets. As an added bonus, once you complete your FAFSA, you will automatically be entered into a monthly raffle for two extra graduation tickets. Visit the Counseling website for more information.

Grief Group & Coping Skills Group
GOHS counselors will be offering a Grief Group and Coping Skills group. This group will cover topics including but not limited to the five stages of grief, self-care, learning effective coping strategies when faced with significant loss, and maintaining healthy relationships while experiencing the grieving process. Interested students can come to Counseling to receive the permission slip to attend.
English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)
GOHS would like to invite you to participate in our second committee meeting, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7th at 5 pm in the GOHS Library.
The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is to build the capacity of parents and guardians to assist in the education of their student. Agenda will include:

2020 AP TEST ORDERING INFORMATION
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on college tuition.
TO REGISTER FOR AN AP EXAM THIS YEAR, THERE ARE TWO STEPS:
- YOU NEED A JOIN CODE FROM A SUBJECT TEACHER. THEN YOU REGISTER TO ORDER THE EXAM ON THE COLLEGE BOARD WEBSITE
- YOU NEED TO ENTER ALL INFORMATION AND PAY ON THE TOTAL REGISTRATION WEBSITE LINKED BELOW

We strongly recommend that parents and students are both present while registering on Total Registration to ensure that the correct exams are ordered. Students/parents should click on the link provided on the school website or visit the website listed above. Registration is not complete until students have printed the confirmation page that is provided at the end of the registration process.

GOHS AVID is sponsoring a great opportunity to tour Long Beach State University and experience both a leadership conference & a college level basketball game on Saturday DECEMBER 7, 2019.

Cost for transportation is $25
