PICKERINGTON ELEMENTARY NEWS
March 2019
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
It’s hard to believe that we’re more than halfway through our school year. With that said, you should have received information about our upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences during the evenings of Thursday, March 7 and Thursday, March 14. While our teachers do their best to accommodate everyone, they do so based on the order that requests come back to them. If you are requesting a conference, I encourage you to do so as soon as possible.
P.R.O.U.D. Winners
Seven amazing students were chosen as school leaders for the month of January. Each of the students was nominated by a staff member for demonstrating one of the seven habits describe3d in the book The Leader in Me by Stephen R. Covey, and in the series of books titled The 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey. Each student demonstrated what a highly effective leader looks like and was recognized during the February 20, 2019, PTO meeting. During the meeting, the selected students received a leadership T-shirt, a certificate, and a charm. Congratulations to the following students: Julian D., Juliana M., Aleena F., Nate V., Jonathan C., Oumar L., and London S.
On behalf of the entire staff, we wish all of our families a relaxing week during our upcoming Spring Break, March 18-22, 2019, and we’ll look forward to having students back in the building on Monday, March 25, 2019.
