CMS Meal Bundles
School Nutrition has a plan to provide students with access to healthy and nutritious meals while they are remote learning. Below are details regarding the distribution of meals that we would like for you to share with families as you talk to them.
Meals during August 17 – 31
During the first two weeks of school, August 17 – 31, students will be provided one free breakfast and lunch at 40 grab-and-go meal sites across the district each weekday. The 40 grab-and-go meal sites will be open for pick-up from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Attached is a list of school sites that will be providing daily meal pick up for the first 11 days of school. Meals distributed during August 17-August 31 do not have to be pre-ordered. Parents can drive through and pick up meals for their student daily.
Meal Bundles
Starting September 1, School Nutrition will be distributing pre-ordered meal bundles that include 5 breakfasts and lunches for CMS students. Meal bundles will be available for pick up at a designated meal site (same sites as first two weeks) or delivered to the student’s' bus stop. Attached is a list of student’s in your school that have signed up for the first week of meal bundles (delivery or pick up Sept 1-Sept 4). Deadline to order for the first week of bus stop delivery is this Tuesday, August 18th at midnight. We are asking you to please contact families that you know need this service to have them sign up. The deadline for ordering a meal bundle for pick up for the week of September 1 is August 26.
We anticipate that most families will need bus stop delivery so we are asking that contacts be made to these families in time for them to sign up before Tuesday at midnight.
How to Order a Meal Bundle?
Parents may use their existing PayPAMS account or can go to PayPAMS.com to create one. They do not need to provide a credit card to create an account. Meal bundles will be available by pre-order only. School Nutrition is using PayPAMS as a method of gathering orders. When placing an order, parents will see the cost as $0.00. This does not mean the meal bundle is free. Once the meal bundle is delivered, CMS staff will use their point of sale system to charge the meal bundle to the student’s account based on their current meal status.
Cost of a Meal Bundle
Meal bundles are free for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch or attend a CEP school. Students who do not qualify for free or reduced lunch can purchase meal bundles for $15 per week.
Meal bundles will be charged to the student’s meal account based on their current meal status. If a student attends a CEP school or qualifies for free or reduced lunch, the bundle will be free. Parents paying for meal bundles are encouraged to add money to their student’s account in PayPAMS to cover the cost of the meal bundle.
When does this start?
CMS Eats at Home meal bundles will be available the week of September 1.
CMS will assign each student to a Group. Each group will be designated a day of the week for meal bundle delivery and pick up.
- Group A: Tuesday
- Group B: Wednesday
- Group C: Thursday
- Group D: Friday
The first meal bundles will be available for pick-up and delivery on:
- Group A: September 1
- Group B: September 2
- Group C: September 3
- Group D: September 4
Thank you for your helping us reach our families.
