Student Ministry This Week

VSM Midweek: Worship Night

This Wednesday night is Worship Night! We'll celebrate our Creator and Savior and dig into His word. Our focus this week is on God's ability to give us patience with others, with our parents, with ourselves, and even with God. The fun starts at 6:30! Following our worship time, we'll play an epic version of 4 Corners: October Edition.

VSM Fall Retreat Information

The highlight of the fall semester is our FALL RETREAT! Fall Retreat this year will be at Shocco Springs Conference Center on November 17-19. This is an amazing weekend where our students can get away and focus on taking the next steps in their faith.

Our theme this year is Fearless, and we will be talking about how our faith enables us to overcome fear and insecurity. In addition to participating in meaningful worship and small group times, students will have some awesome recreation options, enjoy time around the bonfire eating smores, and make some lifelong memories.

The cost for the weekend is $85. You can register today by simply clicking the button below!

VSM D-GROUPS will not meet this Sunday night, October 8th

With many of our families traveling on this long weekend, we will not be meeting for D-Groups this Sunday night. We will get back to it the next week!

What We're Teaching: Life Groups

I’m excited to tell you that your student will be embarking on a meaningful time of Bible study and application, learning exactly what Scripture says about Jesus through John’s eyes. We’re about to engage in a great Bible study on the book of John. Through this study, your student will begin to see Jesus as:

  • Not just a great teacher or prophet, but the Son of God
  • Someone who faced tons of opposition
  • Powerfully compassionate
  • Promising His continued presence through the Holy Spirit
  • The atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world
  • The resurrected Lord

You’ll be receiving follow-up reminders from me as we teach these topics. I’ll provide you with an overview of what we studied as well as some follow-up suggestions you and your teenager might use to continue this important conversation.

Please be praying for our ministry, your child, and your child’s friends as we challenge them with the person of Jesus. We want to be known as a student ministry who knows the proof but also points others to this proof, the person of Jesus, the “who” of Christianity!
