The most important things...
- Thank you to all of the parents who volunteered, helped, and attended our Valentine's Day parties. A good time was had by all.
- Thank you for all of the goodies, treats, and presents for us teachers. We are always humbled to be remembered and grateful for your kindness.
- Another huge thank you to any and all who participated, in any part, of the teacher appreciation dessert feast. It was in impressive AND delicious spread. The meeting room smelled like chocolate all day. It. Was. Glorious. Thank you so much!
- Wax Museum has begun! Your student should know the person that they will be representing. We are in the beginning stages of this unit project, but you can be thinking about costumes for your student. - We are still finding students who are ill-prepared for the weather. Please check the weather in the mornings. Last week we went from the 60's to the 30's in the matter of hours. We go outside if it is above 38 degrees. Please make sure that your child is prepared for the chilly days that still lie ahead.
Highlights of the Week:
- In Humanities we continued reading our Wax Museum biographies and taking notes on important and interesting facts about our chosen people.
- We working our Wax Museum portraits.
- In Science we made a magnetic maze and a created paper door that students had to open with a magnet.
- In Math we practiced finding fractions on a number line. Students are also doing very well on their quick facts. Keep practicing because they are feeling good about their success!
- We had a counseling session with Mrs. Whisman.
- We had awesome Valentine's Day parties thanks to some incredible parents!
What we are learning next week...
Writing: Wax Museum Writing
Math: Equivalent Fractions
Science: Reviewing past Science curriculum with a choice board
