For those in the know!
Thanks to everyone who came out for Back to School Night! What a great turnout and meeting!
We have had an amazing week of 'encouraging our kids on the road towards independence!' I have loved watching the kids come into the class, put their backpacks away and focus on settling on their morning routines. It's really been great! Thank you for all of your encouragement and support in this area. Please feel free to come in on Friday morning. I'm sure that the kiddos would love to show you work that we've been doing as well as our new classroom fish and Bluebonnet Books!
I would love to start getting Parent/Teacher conferences underway! Please let me know if you have a time that works particularly well for you. We can do them on my planning time (8:40 - 9:25), during lunch (11:48 - 12:18), or any time after 3.
This week we started prefix word work, rounding in math, visualizing and character analysis in reading, and are continuing to look at communities in social studies.
Thank you for all of your happy support!
A HUGE thank you to the Montanez family for donating fish for our tank, the Shellhammer and Butler families for donating Bluebonnet books, and Tina Turner for the gift of a succulent! You all are so very much appreciated!
